Overview
joinjmg.com is where solo agents, team leaders and broker owners learn how the JMG referral model works and book a discovery call. The old site was outdated and no longer reflected the company’s numbers, partners or programs, so I rebuilt it from the ground up.
A new visual system, page layouts and components for every page of the site.
Building the site myself, responsive across desktop, tablet and phone.
Updating every stat, partner and program so the site matches where the company is today.
Problem
The site is the first place prospective agents go to learn about JMG, but its design, numbers and messaging no longer matched the company. It needed new data throughout and a clearer path for each type of agent.
Solution
I designed and developed the site end to end on my own. The homepage introduces the referral model and the latest numbers, then sends visitors to a page built for their role: solo agents, team leaders or broker owners.
Three audiences
Each audience gets its own page, message and numbers, built from the same set of components.
Focused on referral volume, extra closings and added GCI for individual agents.
A new income stream for teams, with overrides and estimated annual earnings.
Shows brokers how to add a referral partner while keeping their own brand.
Design process
Before building anything, I designed every page in Figma: the homepage plus a dedicated page for solo agents, broker owners and team leaders, all built from the same shared components.

The site

Outcome
Every page now reflects JMG’s current numbers, partners and programs, and each audience has a clear path to schedule a discovery call.

Project overview · Challenge
Nova is a conceptual health and wellness app and a personalized guide to astrology. The app is designed to make astrology accessible and useful for personal growth. Nova provides a space where users can access daily horoscopes and insights to their birth chart, for the purpose of having a better understanding of their true nature and move accordingly. The app also features meditations that promote a healthy lifestyle. This project presents the approach to providing users with the resources they need to connect with their spirituality.
UX/UI design, visual design, and illustration. Independently led the full design process from research through prototyping.

My process
I learned about the market for astrology and wellness through market research, user interviews, and competitive analysis.
Research goals included:
Market research consisted of understanding the consumer, demographics, general market, and trends within this industry. The goal was to understand the market for mindfulness meditation applications to further inform my design decisions.
Following the market research, I compared Nova’s competitors (Headspace, Calm, Chani, and Co-Star), evaluating their strengths and weaknesses to identify what to expand upon and what to avoid.

I used secondary research to create provisional personas, helping determine the criteria for participants I would recruit for user interviews and get an early read on their needs, gains, and pains.

To validate the provisional personas, I conducted interviews with 5 participants who fit the persona criteria, about 15–20 minutes each, focused on open-ended questions about their experiences.
Some questions I asked:
After the interviews, I categorized notes into Doing, Seeing, Hearing, Thinking/Feeling, Gains, and Pains on sticky notes to synthesize the information and reveal common patterns across Nova’s users.

The main user persona, Carrie, was developed through qualitative research, ethnographic field studies, and primary/secondary research. This persona guided decisions throughout the process, centering designs on the user’s preferences and needs, broken down by attributes, pain points, motivations, goals, and responsibilities.

My process
Taking the insights and needs from the empathy map, I identified the problems to solve for Carrie by creating point-of-view (POV) statements and how-might-we (HMW) questions to guide brainstorming.
With the problems defined, I began brainstorming solutions using the HMW questions as starting points, exploring ideas through mind mapping.

Reflection
The NOVA app includes the functions outlined in the preliminary work and meets its branding goals. Developing this astrology app was a fun project that refined my understanding of Design Thinking and the UX research process. The secondary and primary research allowed me to empathize with the user’s experience.
I struggled with the onboarding experience, because I wanted to find a compelling way to pull information from the audience without losing their interest or demanding too much. After brainstorming and research, I decided an in-depth explanation was the best option: explaining why birth date, time, and location are relevant in astrology. This made onboarding engaging and personal, resulting in the personalization users look for in astrology apps.
Future improvements include further usability testing that addresses navigation and accessibility, and re-testing after new revisions and branding are incorporated. Another improvement would add a social aspect where users can connect with each other.
Overview
JMG offers a wide range of products and programs. My goal was to bring every one of them together in a single, easy-to-navigate home inside the app.
Writing the messaging for each program so clients understand what it does and why it matters in a few seconds.
Designing a consistent card system (color, iconography and tags) so the whole library feels like one product.
Structuring the section so clients can scan, search and drill into the right program without getting lost.
Problem
With so many products and programs, users needed one place to find, understand and use everything JMG offers, without ever leaving the app.
Solution
Clients now have a single home for all of JMG’s tech, programs and resources, organized in a clear and efficient way. They no longer need to visit outside websites to track down information. Everything lives in the app itself.
The app

Outcome
Since launch, I’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback compared to the old mobile app. Clients can find a program, understand it and act on it without leaving the app.
